Can I tour one?
Yes. After we have met with you in person to talk about your project, we can arrange to view cottages that are similar to what you might want. Because all of our cottages are built behind the homeowner's private residence and they are occupied, we have to get advance permission to show a tiny house.
Can I rent one?
Yes, but not through Bohemian Cottages. We do not manage or rent any of the homes we build. Lots of our former clients have listed their tiny houses on Air BnB or Facebook as rentals in Eugene, Oregon.
Can I build on my property?
Most residential properties in Lane County can accommodate a tiny house. They are considered Auxiliary Dwelling Units (ADUs), and we are intimately familiar with all the particularities in regards to their coding requirements. How large are your tiny homes?
Most of our builds are 200 square feet - which is a magic number is it is the maximum size we can build without a permit. As a specialist in small structures, we build from 200 to 600 square feet.
How long have you been doing this?
Bohemian Cottages has built around 35 tiny homes and cottages in the past 8 years. We are licensed and bonded contractors with the state of Oregon.
Do you offer financing?
We do not offer any in house financing. Most of our clients use a simple Home Equity line to finance their project. Banks and credit unions like to create these kinds of loans as they are generally fast, easy and very low interest rates.
